FlexiForce Americas Website

The client

FlexiForce Canada is a manufacturing company in British Columbia, Canada which serves customers throughout the Americas.

The need

The parent company in Europe had initiated a website redesign project. Separate divisional websites were being consolidated into a single, multilingual website.

The solution

WordPress was chosen as the content management system. Similar to previous websites that I had worked on, I began with a brainstorming session to talk about the different types of people that come to our website and what information they are looking for. From there, I created a sitemap and the team worked together to write the content. Page layouts were designed on a large whiteboard. The parent company sent their photographer from Europe to take all the photos for us. Issuu was used as a platform for serving the PDF-based catalog interactively, as the company did not feel their customers were ready for a web-based shopping experience.

LanguageWire was engaged to translate all English website content into Canadian French, Latin American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. These translations were verified by native speakers and entered into the translation plugin in WordPress to provide native-language content for each region.

In connection with the launch of the new website, we embarked upon an aggressive social media strategy, with four posts per day on Twitter and one post per day on both Facebook and LinkedIn.
