The client
Phantom Screens is a manufacturing company in British Columbia, Canada which serves customers throughout North America.
The need
The client wanted a more modern-looking website to better serve the needs of architects, designers, and journalists.
The solution
I collaborated with the Marketing Department to come up with a fresh-looking design that was similar to their physical promotional material. We had a brainstorming session with the sales team to figure out what sort of content architects, designer, and journalists were looking for. We found that there was some overlap, so we created landing pages with slightly different navigation.
The original products section from the old website was expanded to include some new product lines that were being launched. An interactive ZIP code locator tool provided homeowners with the ability to find the distributor for their area and request to be contacted for a quote.
The new Design Specifications section provided specification sheets, drawings, case studies, information on continuing education credits, an image gallery, and video gallery.
The new Newsroom section provided press releases, media kit, case studies, image gallery, video gallery, and a collection of magazine articles and television segments where the company was featured.
The finished project won the 2011 Crystal Award for Best Industry Website (Supplier) from Window & Door Magazine.
